~FAQ shipping read me~Ocean freight takes 3 weeks depending on departure dates and runs about $450 to major terminals in most of Western Europe and Hawaii. Airfreight is usually double that. Australia and the Pacific basin is about 50% more. Turnkeys are more and cannot be shipped air freight. Export engines are bought outright as cores cannot be economically returned.

We can offer assistance in dressing engines or remanufacturing yours. Pull it out and hand it over to us. We can chem strip remachine, rethread, weld, surface and otherwise remanufacture pretty much whatever it is as long as parts are available. Get your checkbook out. We punch a timecard at $90 per hour and I crack the whip.

A premium marine longblock typically comes with block, crankshaft, connecting rods, head(s), lifters or cam followers, camshaft, main, rod and cam bearings, valvetrain, pistons, rings, wrist pins, valves, springs, guides, retainers, keepers, galley plugs, timing chain set or belt, seals, oil pump, gaskets and a one year unlimited hour warranty.

Longblocks, by definition, do not come with manifolds, flywheels, timing covers, balancers, slingers, eccentrics, carburetors, brackets, pick up screens or other sheet metal items, fuel, emission, electrical or ignition components.

      

 


~Read me~ 
For up-front payment on a remanufactured longblock exchange engine, add the 3 figures at the right end of the table rows above. If buying outright, cut the shipping price in half. Call about remanufactured turn key engines which usually take 30 days. Marine turnkeys may be in stock.  
Remanufactured long block engines come with 1 year / unlimited mileage warranties standard 3 yr/50000 mile non-commercial extended warranties are $190 on engines priced under $2000, $290 if over $2000, etc.  There are no  tax/EPA charges except in Illinois.  Core refunds are sent by check after we receive your core back. Cores should be sent back within 30 days after receiving fresh engine.  Many domestic gas engines offer  HO performance packages at only $290 more.  
Remanufactured shortblocks are generally $300 less than longblocks listed with core deposit at approximately 2/3 of a remanufactured longblock.

    There are no other costs except the shipper may charge for special handling on your end, like residential pickup (usually @$72) or for metro delivery.
