Average days transit from remanufactured.com. To help you figure the total average time it will take for you to get the long block. These times are estimates provided by the freight companies as the average service days from our local Joliet/Chicago Illinois terminals. Customers should know that shipping heavy items, such as engines, through trucking companies is a little different from expedited, easily tracked parcel delivery like UPS or Fed Ex. Guaranteed expedited engine delivery is available but be prepared to pay about 3 times the amount of normal non-expedited engine delivery. We arrange for shipping through a freight broker and a web site. Pro numbers are not posted to the site for several days following the shipment of the non-expedited engine. Tracking involves multiple calls through the broker involving leaving messages for our Rep, extended time on hold and next day call backs. The time and expense involved in finding out 99 times out of 100 that, yes the engine is on a truck somewhere between here and there, necessitates a policy of no tracking until the engine is 5 business days overdue. |
