The engine buyer must bring his car to any reputable shop to have important adjustments made and to catch any part failures, mistakes, leaks, etc. made in or since the installation. Bolts must be checked for tightness, ignition timing reset, choke & carburetor adjustments and valve lash adjustments if necessary. The cooling system must be pressure tested for leaks, belts readjusted and a lOW40 oil and filter change must also be performed. This service is charged to customer at prevailing rates.
The engine buyer must keep proof, in the form of machine printed and dated receipts, of oil & filter changes performed every 3 months or 3,000 miles, which ever comes first. This proof must come from the licensed repair shops or oil change facilities that performed the service. If you change your own oil, auto-parts store receipts are satisfactory.
